Guide for a stress free life.

If you knew me, I'd be the least stressed person you know. I've most likely been through more in 20 years than you will in 50. I've had sucky grades, my Mom died about two years ago, and do I cry in the corner? No.The first step to leading a life without stress is to do the cliche "Find out what's bothering you and accept it". I was there when my Mom died. I threw up because my body, let alone my mind couldn't handle it. Did I find the nearest skyscraper and jump off it? No. Death is part of life and needs to be excepted. In school I've always gotten poor teachers that really could care less what grades they gave me. I'd work hard and it would all blow in my face because I chose to challenge what they were saying instead of basing my knowledge by the book.Everyone has stress and there are right ways and wrong ways of dealing with it if you wish to become stress free.Ever feel like pmsing just because you had a bad day? Feel like yelling into a pillow? Why? How does it make you feel better? You're not throwing up your feelings by yelling or punching a pillow. You're covering it up temporarily with nothingness. The idea behind living a life without stress or even little stress is to rid yourself of stress, not cover it up.Steaming and venting are two different things. If you steam, you're chilling out and slowly getting rid of your stress. In order to steam, you need something purely happy. I happy to listen to chill reggae or ska music to lighten my mood and get rid of stress.Bob Marley is good but some times promotes rage so be picky about what you're listening to.It's easy enough to tell someone "just ignore it" when you don't have the problem but in reality that's not what you want to do. Ignoring it promotes and advanced form of stress. It just keeps adding on and on and on.What you want to do is wonder why you care about whatever's bothering you OR how to make your problem better. If the stress that's bothering you is unfinished school work due tomorrow, get it done and your stress will disappear.Magic? No. It's just reality. If you take care of your stress and manage it successfully, you'll be stress free. Seems easy? It is. If you really find yourself needing to release some stress at first, take something squishy and squeeze it for a while. Don't tense up when you squish it, just chill out and squish it.
